A disabled veteran of the First Gulf War, Sean T Lewis was also a writer for the Soldier’s Heart production. He is a writer, poet, commentator, activist, performer, and the webmaster for this site. Sean has submitted samples of his poetry, and a piece of writing that served as the base for Skeeter Greene’s “Soldier’s Heart” performance piece. Sean is a single parent and network technician in Portland, Oregon.
Educated in Theater Arts and Stagecraft, Sean now works as a network technician, while pursuing his writing for personal fullfillment with an eye toward a shifting career in that direction. Sean writes essays, editorials, short fiction, and poetry.
Right now, his life is focused on raising his teenage daughters to be good people, and doing what he can to see that they inherit a better world from his generation. On that score, he has joined the struggle to oppose encroaching nationalism here at home; and works for peace, justice, and equality globally as well as locally.
In his role as an activist for Veterans’ rights and for peace, Sean maintains a popular blog at LiveJournal called “The Angry Patriot”, as well as acting as moderator for three communities at LiveJournal: Liberal_bias, PeaceVets, and _Dear_Santa. He’s had editorials published at Buzzflash.com, speaks at First Amendment and peace rallies, and serves as Treasurer of Veterans for Peace Chapter 72 in Oregon.
